  • EH&D is a NGO of Volunteers. Now, we are working in La Prusia. Our goal is to bring to these families a
model of integral and sustainable development. There are nor fees or special requirements although
it would be better to have some knowledge of masonry, plumbing, electricity, etc., and basic Spanish.

  • EH&D needs Volunteers to:
                           1. Help the families of La Prusia build their houses at EH&D 1
                           2. Help in the adults and kids programs
                           3. Help in the Health programs
                           4. Teach practical, technical subjects to men and women at the school-workshop:
                               masonry, plumbing, electricity, carpentry... etc.
                           5. Work with teenagers, sports, entertainment, etc.
                           6. Teach basic elements of computers, typewriting, computer repair, machine
                                sewing, and embroidering, etc.
                           7. We also need experts in development, cooperatives,
                               micro-credits, etc.

If you think you can do something for La Prusia:

PLEASE, COME TO KNOW CRISTIAN, JUAN
                                         or Dňa MARGARITA.

"Who would believe two months could fly past so
quickly and what a great way to pass an Irish
winter. Everyone I met in Nicaragua was so
friendly, and Granada seemed to be so safe.
I would recommend this project to anyone,
the work can be hard at times but you can
see the results immediately"

"For those of you who are looking for a
volunteer experience  that doesnt cost you
an arm and a leg then look no further!
I spent days on the net to find a volunteer
opportunity that I didnt have to pay for, was
completely hands on, immersed me in
another culture and allowed me to feel
productive each day. I found it with EH&D."

"Volunteering with Casas de La Esperanza
has been an excellent experience for me.
It is very satisfying to actually see the
physical results of your work and to see the
progress families are making in building
their own houses. It was a privilege to
meet and work with the local community"

Mi experiencia ha sido inolvidable.
Lo sigue siendo puesto que ahora tengo
amigos allí con los cuales sigo en contacto
(voluntarios  y gente del lugar). Es muy
estimulante conocer de primera mano
