With the help of the volunteers of EH&D thirty six families of La Prusia
have finished their homes, left their shacks, and are already living in EH&D1
  • These families have received their own plot of land and building materials (up to $2,500 per house
according to their needs) as a micro-credit without interest. They are returning this amount
little by little, about $5 per month. The collected money goes to new houses for other families.
  • EH&D does not urge the collection of these installments when the families have no work, but the property
of the houses will not be registered until the residents have returned the loan entirely.
  • The homes will be the only residence for the families. Once the loan is repaid, the properties will be
registered but cannot be sold or rented during ten years.
  • Meanwhile they won't be able to rent, to transfer or to leave empty their houses. If they don't want to
continue living in it, EH&D will return them the money they have paid and the house will be occupied by
another family, approved by the community.
  • The community establishes the guidelines to assure a pleasant and harmonious way of living and mutual
   respect for each other.
