About two hundred families are living as squatters in several areas, most of them at both sides of the main path. Just a few of them have their own small piece of land to build their own homes with wood remains and tin. Most families are squatting on municipal or private land, of different owners, in miserable houses. In many cases the floor is just earth. Until now water had to be paid at a very high price, and it arrived only a few hours, every second day. Some families had to buy it in barrels brought there in two-wheeled carts. The electricity has very low voltage and many times the appliances do not work. Jobs are very scarce and occasional.

Kids
The need of technical education and jobs for young people and adults is very clear. The living conditions of most of these families are very harsh. Urgent measures should be taken for helping this young community to use their energy and dynamism for getting out of poverty.
